San Diego, CA - March 14, 2006 - Syntarus Corporation, a global telecommunications and information management technology firm based in San Diego, CA today formally announced that wholly owned subsidiary RadioASB (American Songbook Radio) will debut a new weekend radio program, "Music Essentials with Bill Owen", hosted by renowned radio and TV personality Bill Owen. The program will begin broadcasting via RadioASB on the Internet at www.RadioASB.com on March 25, 2006 at 3:00PM EST.

According to Syntarus CTO Richard F. Burrell, "Our primary objective at RadioASB, to bring distinctly unique and elegantly sophisticated radio programming to a worldwide audience of discerning and musically mature radio aficionados, has reached new heights with the introduction of "Music Essentials with Bill Owen" into the RadioASB weekend schedule." He elaborates, "The incredibly refined format of diverse music and sophisticated content integrated with Bill's "world class" presentation will most certainly assure that the program will become an indispensable staple for the RadioASB weekend audience."

Scheduled for a RadioASB debut on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 3:00PM EST, "Music Essentials with Bill Owen" will broadcast Saturdays from 3:00PM to 7:00PM EST and Sundays from 12:00PM to 4:00PM EST.

The RadioASB "Music Essentials with Bill Owen" program will showcase the "Best of the Best" of Big Band and American Popular Standards, interspersed with captivating historical anecdotes, delightful bits of nostalgia and fascinating music trivia, encompassing a broad spectrum of topics that not only provide insight into the music, composers, musicians and history of the American Songbook but also shed light on little known but fascinating facts related to the everyday world around us, all of which Bill presents with inimitable flair.

A world recognized "icon" in the radio and television broadcasting industry for four decades, Bill Owen maintains an illustrious list of professional career credits.

Bill was one of the original "Swingin' Seven" DJ's on WABC 77 Radio in New York City during the early 1960’s, and along with fellow DJ's Herb Oscar Anderson, Jack Carney, Chuck Dunaway, Charlie Greer, Scott Muni and Farrell Smith, they were instrumental in both catapulting WABC 77 to the top of the New York City radio station ratings and revolutionizing American radio.

As an ABC TV sports broadcaster from 1960 to 1990 Bill worked with industry giants such as Howard Cosell, covering multiple Olympics, America Cup Races and myriad other national and international sporting events. Bill also covered broadcast assignments for the ABC TV award winning program “Wide World of Sports”.

As host of the Emmy award winning ABC TV "Discovery" series from 1966 to 1972 Bill often found himself traveling to such far flung, exotic locations as Hong Kong, Helsinki and Moscow, to mention just a few, in his coverage for the show’s wide ranging topics of interest.

Carl J. Sabatino, who serves as both Syntarus CEO and RadioASB on-air personality and program host of the "Carl Sabatino and the Morning Show", speaking in reference to Bill Owen, comments, "Bill Owen is truly one of the most prolific radio and television broadcasters of all times. He has raised the broadcaster standards bar so high that it is completely out of reach for most of the younger broadcasters in the industry today." He quickly adds, "It is an incredibly exhilarating experience working in the RadioASB studio with Bill, and I am absolutely delighted to have someone of his stature on board American Songbook Radio."

Apart from his stellar broadcasting career, Bill is also a prominent author and has published several books. “Radio’s Golden Age”, co-authored with Frank Buxton, is the first encyclopedia of old time radio shows and covers the Golden Era of old-time radio prior to the advent of Rock & Roll. His second book, “The Big Broadcast”, also co-authored with Frank Buxton, is a comprehensive reference work that chronicles popular radio shows on the airwaves from 1920 to 1950. His most recent book, "Bill Owen's Over 60 Trivia", has recently been released to extremely favorable reviews.

As a side note, a little piece of trivia concerning Bill Owen is that his interest in and mastery of trivia began while working as a staff announcer for the ABC program "World News This Morning" in 1982, when one day a technical problem at the station left Bill with a need to expand by several seconds his time check leading into a commercial. He filled in the short gap by broadcasting “over the air” a trivia question regarding Thomas Jefferson. Bill’s “on air” trivia questions became a regular part of his program format and, much to everyone’s amazement, he soon started to receive more fan mail from listeners than all the other program hosts combined.
